Job order with a capital “c” for Iveco Bus in Italy. The manufacturer, in fact, has been awarded the supply for Busitalia of one hundred and fifty electric urban buses: this is the largest order of E-Way city buses received to date by the company.

The buses are scheduled to be delivered between 2023-2025, with a first batch of 18 vehicles to be delivered by July 2023, to be put into service in Padua and Rovigo.

The 12-meter-long E-Ways-with overnight charging that Busitalia will manage-include numerous features, such as air conditioning, Usb outlets, dedicated areas for wheelchair users, as well as a rear vision system. Two different layouts will offer large passenger capacity without compromising range on a single charge. Some vehicles are equipped to accommodate 28 seated passengers for urban transport, while others will offer an optimal combination of 32 seats for suburban transport.

The renewal of our fleets with electric buses of this type – which we are sure will meet all our expectations – will help us achieve our goals in a sustainable way», said Stefano Bonora, CEO and General Manager of Busitalia. Stéphane Espinasse, Head of Sales & Products Iveco Bus, on the other hand, added, «We are particularly honored by this order, which confirms our strong leadership in electric technology. We are proud to support Busitalia in implementing zero-emission buses to make public transport in Italy even more sustainable. We look forward to seeing more and more E-Ways in operation in Italy».
