Smart buses in the crosshairs of Scania and Haylion Technologies

The development of autonomous and electrified vehicles for the Chinese market is the horizon of Scania’s partnership with Haylion Technologies, a company committed in the development of solutions for the Chinese transport sector, with a focus on autonomous driving, electrification and connectivity. In a few words: smart vehicles, among wich smart buses.

Scania, the focus on alternative fuels

Scania and Haylion Technologies, as the companies state, will join forces in the field of non-fossil fuelled vehicles, especially electrified vehicles, driverless and urban passenger transport. The common goal is to accelerate the commercialization of self-driven transport applications and the transition towards a sustainable transport system.

Haylion Technologies, together with Gortune Investment Co. Ltd, has created a team of experts in artificial intelligence, automotive manufacturing, communication and public transport. This team will focus on self-driven technology, model verification and industrialization. The main focus of Haylion Techonologies is to develop a complete public transport solution with electrified, connected, smart buses.

The bus of the future? It’s a smart bus!

Since the end of 2017, Haylion Technologies has been testing using smart buses on public roads with the Shenzhen Bus Group, a real breakthrough in the industry.
